I Still Cannot Reply, I am a TMobile Customer

Im kind of bummed, hope you guys can fix that..

Stick with the old version

Old version worked way better with my steel, this version constantly disconnects and has to stay open to even work unlike the old version.

Guess my "smart watch" is just a dumb watch now.

Pebble has traded their customer service and personality, the things that made them so different, for chasing down the newest smart watch trends. Its obvious this app was rushed so they could work on their other projects, and the fact that it isnt as good as their earlier watch app shows how much they care about the customers who arent buying their newest products.

Frustrating

The worst thing about this app is that when its time to update the firmware, the app shuts off all functions of the watch until you do. That means if you use it as an alarm clock and they push an update in the middle of the night your alarms will not work. This has happened to me for the last time. Goodbye pebble.

Pairing and Connection problems

The Pebble Steel Smartwatch is a very well engineered device. However, the poor performance of the Pebble software app, appears to be a poorly configured to stay contacted to an iPhone 5s thats just a few feet away! Its true that the old app software version of Pebble was better designed. This poorly performing software app, might eventually affect the overall sales of the Pebble Smartwatch device.

Lost features

Why did I lose features going from AT&T to Sprint. I can no longer respond to messages via a canned response or voice with Sprint. That was half the reason for getting the watch! Now its useless

App has been fine for me. Great watch

Im not having the pairing issues others have mentioned. I really like the new version with the health section.

Doesnt work well with iPhone

The app is designed well but doesnt seem to work well with iPhone. I have to continuously re-pair it. Doesnt stay connected. Ive even factory reset my Pebble Time a couple of times. Would be nice to be able to force sync as well. Sometimes it will go over 12 hours without syncing and there is no way to force a sync.

Worst product bar none!!

This is the worst experience with any device I have ever had!! Not worth time or money. Locks up constantly!! Never worked! Pure crap!!!!

Good watches bad upgrade

The latest upgrade seemed to make using the voice capabilities on the watch near useless. I get tons of error try again, voice service is not available. Also Im waiting sometimes for minutes to see if the thing is ever going to do something. Its kind of frustrating when you know youre speaking clearly and it seemed to work on the last update just fine.

Improve the app!

You should be able to text from your watch without having the app open

Pebble Steel is garbage

I am on my 2nd Pebble Steel & I still have difficulty charging the watch. It literally will charge one out of 20 times, I have to spend 5min messing with it to charge. Once Apple makes a waterproof watch I will switch.

New features are awesome

I am loving the reply text features and the new health tracking data.

This watch is junk

I have had trouble pairing this watch since I got it. I am going to Sell this watch and get an Apple Watch. Cannot get support for this watch. Do not buy!!!

Great watch and app

I wanted a new watch and decided I wanted a smart watch because I was tired of having to go somewhere every year to get the battery changed, whereas I can just charge up a smart watch. My wife wanted me to have a watch that would notify me via vibrations that I got her text messages because I never seem to be able to hear or feel my phone. An Apple Watch was not an option for me, because (for complicated reasons) Im currently stuck at iOS 8.4.1 on my iPhone and Apple requires iOS 9 to pair with Apple Watches running WatchOS 2.0. I couldnt find a Apple Watch with WatchOS 1 to buy. I decided to go with Pebble because its compatible with my iPhone 5s and current iOS and meets my above requirements. With a steel watch band and the Pebble Time Steel, Ive spent less than half of what I would have had to spend to get an Apple Watch with a steel band (obviously NOT a fair and direct comparison since the two watches have completely different features). The Pebble Time Steel does NOT have a touch screen or a heartbeat monitor but is waterproof to 30m. Interaction with the Pebble Time Steel is only through the four buttons on the side. Pebble Time Steel has a nominal battery life of 10 days instead of 18 hrs as is typical for Apple Watch. I was concerned because many people have reported that they have trouble with their phone disconnecting from their phone in their reviews of the Pebble iOS app. I have not had any problems keeping my phone connected to my watch. I think that people may not be aware that the Pebble phone app must be running for the watch to stay connected. The Pebble phone app suggests that I enable Background App Refresh, but I do not normally enable Background App Refresh to preserve my iPhone battery life. The app seems to work fine without enabling it. Ive customized the watch face to my liking and installed an app to look at my Wunderlist to-do list on my watch. It wasnt immediately obvious that I access my Timeline (aka Calendar items) by pressing the up/down buttons on the watch when the watch is on watch face (there isnt a "calendar" app in the app menu). Ive spent a week with my Pebble Time Steel. I havent had to recharge my watch yet and Im completely satisfied so far.

New update wont sync

I cant keep my watch and my phone talking with Bluetooth since the new update.

Okay when it works

The app crashes about 70% of the time (either doesnt open or freezes after startup), frequently loses LE connection, and occasionally does not update pebble health stats. The support staff has been responsive, but still without a solution.

Update

The latest update isnt working properly. It crashes frequently and loses its connection. Text notifications no longer work. Very annoying. Loved it before...except for the short battery life (Notifications were text, phone, Pebble. All other notifications were turned off. Used 40% every day). However, I just charge it every two days and its fine.

DR

I dont get any more notifications since the new update. Battery last for a day.

Shouldnt be difficult to use after rebooting it.

I am giving this app 2 stars because when I had to reboot it because the Bluetooth connection to the device was disconnected, I followed the instructions and still found it very difficult to pair the device with Bluetooth. It says there should be two pairings between your device name, and another, with the device name followed by LE. What? No instructions on a fix when only one Bluetooth connection is working. I had to reboot the phone at least 3 times. Tell my phone to forget the device twice. Now maybe its working.. Well see. Also, I bought this because I use another app that advertises the Pebble time watch, Argus. I fail to understand why these apps cant sync with each other. The Argus app allows to to participate in social challenges and manually entering data just doesnt work... The sleep data could be improved....Id like to be able to tap the graph and see what time correlates to my sleep...and the colors chosen to indicate regular sleep, vs deep, vs being awake, could be better. And again, through a reboot and update, my watch failed to pair. I am tempted to just take it back.
